Curriculum Accounting Education
Regarding the existence of the KKNI, competency-based curriculum, MBKM curriculum, and these visions and missions, UNY views the need for curriculum adjustments in all study programs. Curriculum development for educational programs is oriented towards Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK). It must also pay attention to government policies, especially regarding student rights to study outside the campus and global education issues. The development of this curriculum is a complex process based on past, present, and future analysis of various dimensions of life. Similarly, the SWOT analysis of the existing curriculum and the tracer study results on the performance of graduates. Furthermore, study programs need to re-establish the profile of graduates, learning outcomes (LO), courses and their weights, curriculum structure and semester programs, learning systems, and assessments. Curriculum improvement needs to be done systematically and comprehensively to cover university, faculty, majors, and study programs.
The preparation and determination of the curriculum applied in the study program is part of the effort to achieve the graduate profile as stated in the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL). The curriculum is designed by the curriculum development team at the study program level by formulating the main competencies and additional competencies outside the field of accounting educational studies to be achieved. The curriculum then contains courses and the number of semester credits that are interacted through the learning process in class.
